Ann Gay’s celestial Criss-Cross binding makes a durable hardcover book with the ease of opening found in a non-adhesive binding. These swimming books are full of ink-loving paper and is covered with handmade/silkscreened Lokta paper from Nepal. It might be difficult to make out in the photos, but the ink is metallic, changing from silver, to copper, to gold. Keeping with the natural vibe, I used house-made organic wheat paste as the only adhesive in this batch of books. Paste takes longer to dry than synthetic adhesive, but I love the feel of using it and the results it makes possible. Plus, a little less plastic unleashed into the world can’t be a bad thing, right?
Available with one lined journal (with terra cotta thread) and two dot-grid bullet journals with matching thread.
Notebooks made in this fashion are often great conversation starters; just remember to tell the curious folks where you got yours.
