Tis the season for change, for leaves, got getting down to essentials. What is more essential to a leaf than its physical structure? The handmade lokta paper covering these four books is silk-screened with copper metallic ink, and I used up all of the roll that I brought back from Boston to make this batch of “Secret Belgian” bullet journals.
Ann Goy’s celestial Criss-Cross binding makes a durable hardcover book with the ease of opening found in a non-adhesive binding. Keeping with the natural vibe, I used house-made organic wheat paste as the only adhesive in this batch of books. Paste takes longer to dry than synthetic adhesive, but I love the feel of using it and the results it makes possible. Plus, a little less plastic unleashed into the world can’t be a bad thing, right?
I coudn’t settle on green or brown thread. So I made one of each and two that feature both. Choose below!
