If you like to carry fountain pens, art pens, or any kind of pencil around, these little fieldbooks are for you. This set of three simple pocket notebooks are full of the amazing Classic Crest from Neenah. The textured card for the covers also comes from the US, and I used Irish linen to hand-stitch each book. The Astrobrights fly leaves feature a vintage bookplate image and a full colophon inside, along with 32 pages of lined paper. Most, ahem, soft-cover pocket notebooks feature cross-grained paper to make the book feel stiffer (or to save money?). These are properly aligned, with the grain running parellel to the spine. They bend more easily and safely in your pocket, with less fear of cracking covers. Each book is finished off with a hand-cut label adhered to the cover so that you can title your notes (or just insert cute and/or obscene cartoons).
The thread colors coordinate with the color of the fly leaves in each book (dark red has natural linen thread and parchment; brown has yellow gold; dark red has orange.
