Saffron Gold Cafe Journals

For this pair of journals, I used a variation of the longstitch through slots binding described by Keith Smith. Inside of slots, I used the usual binding holes and doubled up on the number of signatures thought each one. Instead of the staggered look of the slotted version (which is lovely!), the stitching has the appearance of a simple running stitch on the spines of the books. Choose from the coral or bright blue thread, both of which I picked up on my last trip to Cambridge and have saved for something special.

Of course, the cotton paper inside is fountain pen friendly and is also made in the USA. While white, it is not...harshly so. I love it.
