I grew up in Baltimore, in Hampden, [in]famous home of the Hons. Baltimore can be a magical place full of the unexpected, and Hampden is one little enclave in which you can find this on the regular. ***This is not for kids! The language gets more than a little colorful, though all in good fun.*** I should probably point out that I wrote this with affection, not spite. I still have family in Hampden and live less than a mile away. And I don't really think Santa Claus has a habit of trying to beat anyone with a lead pipe on Christmas Eve.
This little book is printed on ivory paper and has a parchment card cover. I bind these each by hand with waxed thread, right here in Baltimore.
It features a poetic homage to Hampden and Christmas, with the original Moore poem on the facing pages. No apologies to Sr. Teresa Mary.
(You can also find a slightly fancier version of this little book at the Made in Baltimore holiday Pop-Up this year!)
